On June 3rd, 2017 I was side swiped by a driver merging into my lane. The man tried to leave the scene of the accident and I called 911. The responding officer did not indicate to me that I was at fault but when I printed my accident report the following Monday, I was in fact put at fault. When I confronted the officer in effort to have the police report amended he simply said "Maybe you were distracted on your cell phone." I do not use my cell phone while I am driving. I felt very targeted and discriminated against because I am a woman. The man that hit me had his wife and small child in the vehicle which can be a distraction. I will do everything in my power to avoid the Taylor Police Department in the future
Simply Awful! The Taylor P.D. are full of Police that are liars, bigots and simply money hungry. They lied to me several times regarding my property that they claimed they did not have, turns out it was there the whole time. Cost me more money when the Detective could have just given me my property. They don't want to answer questions, they do not call citizens back when they say. If you are a caucasian Taylor citizen, you're good. Don't be a dark-skinned African American from outlying cities though, it's all bad for you. I will be contacting the mayor of the city of Taylor to lodge formal complaints against the specific officers and the police department as a whole. Thinking about suing.
Shortly before 2pm today I was driving on Pinecrest in Taylor W of Pelham. A car in the middle of the street in front of me was talking to a woman. I gently hit my horn a couple of times then after a fair amount of time I laid on the horn. Out came one of your Police Officers in a unmarked Charger grey. He had plenty of room to move over or into her driveway. There were cars behind me also. If, I as a citizen, did this he would give me a ticket for Blocking a Moving Lane of Traffic. With no light flashing and no apparent problem visible it just appeared that he was having a personal conversation with someone. I don't know his name, just that he was tall with dark hair. Somebody should talk to you officers about obstructing traffic. I called Taylor and was told it must Allen Park but it was not. They don't have Chargers so you might want to find out who was in that area and address this issue.
