The owners.of this store get everything free because stores discard expired food.items.due to safety risks. I guess.its not illegal to sell most items, as the date on the box says "best by _____" I personally wouldn't purchase anything from here. There's a reason products say "best by". I'm quite sure they don't get much business. I live nearby and never see a lot of cars in their parking area. However, if you're looking to launder money from an illegal business, this is a clever way to do it!
If you’re going to post hours of operation... stick to it. Huge waste of time.
If you simply educate yourself on the true shelf life of most products and are willing to try a "new" grocery shopping experience; you're going to love how much you'll save on everyday items.

Firstly: Don't be scared off by the "bad" reviews, since most of them are based on wrong or erroneous information concerning "best by" dates. The food industry has done its best to ensure that most products are EXTENSIVELY preserved.
Sure, certain brands are hit-and-miss, but that's normal anywhere you go!
The whole purpose of this store is to reduce the amt of perfectly good food that has to be removed from the shelf simply because of a date on the product. I have never shopped here because i don't live here anymore but on my last visit I tasted several products that my family purchased. Perfectly good food for very great, low prices.
I had come to buy a ton of (not yet expired) cans of food to donate to charity in Detroit, which meant I drove out here from Detroit 1Hr in rush hour traffic) to get here.
Great low prices! The junk food items are past expiration date but many other things are a good buy like their beverages. I get a whole 24 pack of vitamin water for $5.99. You do have to do selective shopping at this place.
Called midday and they said I could arrive shortly before closing. Called 30 minutes before closing and nobody picked up. Arrived 15 minutes before closing and the door was locked and they pushed a cart in front of the door instead to block me from view instead of telling me that they had closed early.
